SPB reduces its energy consumption

SPB confirms its will to be a contributing company for society and the environment. As part of our CSR strategy, we have undertaken a strategy to monitor and control our carbon emissions on our two French sites in Le Havre and Paris – La Défense.
Thus, since 2021, we have reduced:
- our electricity consumption of 38%
- our water consumption of 16%
Overall, SPB saved 44 tonnes of CO² (only for energy consumption), which is equivalent to five trips around the world by car.
These results were achieved thanks to a targeted action plan, including: the replacement of light bulbs with LEDs, the installation of motion detectors and switches, the implementation of a leak detection system water, an automatic shutdown of fountains, the switching off outdoor night lighting and the maintenance of green spaces without phytosanitary products or herbicides.
New measures will be studied and deployed, such as the installation of solar panels, energy performance in rooms dedicated to computer servers, doubling of descaling of toilet flushes, the reduction of our impressions or the installation of an automatic clock to turn off the televisions.
